Prospecting In Gold (PIG) started life in 2002 in order to produce and promote our first game, the Grab a Pig card game. We formed this family run business because we all enjoy playing games whenever we get together in a social gathering and we always take games when travelling and it was at Christmas in the year 2000 that we came up with the idea for the Grab a Pig game.
It would be good to tell you that we had an epiphany, that in a moment of extreme realisation we knew that Prospecting In Gold just had to be the name. Perhaps it was because we had made our fortune prospecting for gold and we were using that fortune to create games .. no!
The truth of the matter is that we really wanted to have the initials PIG as an acronym and created a company name based on the first phrase that we all liked that fitted the initials and well, it stuck.
To provide the world with games that bring people together for fun and laughter, that are reasonably priced and that don't require a degree to understand the rules. We want our games to have longevity, to be enjoyed for generations by people of all generations. With Grab a Pig we believe that we have done this, play it and you'll love it whether you are 6 or 96.
We want to continue the success that we have had with Grab a Pig and add to our Grab a Games range also we want to add other games to our list. We already have some ideas planned so watch this space.
